Slop Hound is offered free of charge, without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be error-free or available at all times.
The "slop score" and everything the app flags are produced by heuristics and, optionally, an AI model. They are a rough gauge of writing style, not a definitive determination of whether any content was generated by AI, and not a judgment of any person. Please don't rely on the app for consequential, professional, academic, or legal decisions.
If you use "Analyze with Claude," you do so with your own Anthropic account and API key. You are responsible for your own API usage and any costs it incurs, and for complying with Anthropic's terms. Cost figures shown in the app are estimates.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including any costs incurred through third-party services you choose to use.
